Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is a wonderful group of adults who love to praise God through music and song. They work extremely hard during the year to provide glorious anthems for worship and special programs during Advent, Easter and occasionally a Summer-Musicals.

Those wishing to glorify God through song are invited to contact Kitty Williams regarding the size choir robe needed.

Chancel Choir rehearses Wednesday nights from 7:30-9:00 in the choir room located in the basement on the 9th-Street side of the building.

Pure Joy!

Pure Joy! First Church's youth choir is for every one 7th Grade to 12th Grade. Pure Joy! Rehearses on Sunday afternoon from 4:00-5:30, right before Youth Fellowship.

Pure Joy! also serves as the worship leaders for music in the 8:30 Worship Hour each Sunday morning.

A highlight of each year is the annual choir tour during Spring Break each year. The choir leaves on Friday evening and returns the following Saturday. Tours in recent years have traveled to New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, and through the deep South.

Pure Joy! Scrip Sales

This is an ongoing fundraiser.

Do you go out to eat? Shop for clothes? Buy Home and Garden items? Then use this gift card. It is not really a gift card. Simply purchase a card for a specified amount from the choir. The card is worth exactly the amount you paid. The merchant will then give a percentage to the choir! (It is money that you would spend anyway. For example: Buy a Chili's card, Chili’s gives the choir 13% of that amount! You eat at Chili’s using your card to pay. Just like a gift card.) These cards make great gifts - Christmas is coming soon. (For a list of participating merchants go to: www.glscrip.com <http://www.glscrip.com>.

Annual Rummage Sale - January 18, 19 & 20

Pure Joy! “Rent A Kid”

Also remember you can “Rent a Kid” to do yard work and other chores around the house and yard. How about hiring them to take down your Christmas lights and decorations? This fundraising effort will help with their expenses on the Spring Break Choir Tour.
