    Hemphill Home Makeover

On Monday & Tuesday, February 28 & March 1, First Church volunteers joined with Home Depot volunteers to make over the Hemphill home to be more accessible to Jenna after her surgery. Jenna is learning to walk but is still in a wheelchair at times and needed smooth floors. Copy the link below and see the Fox 4 news story of the work that went on at the house.

First Church members brought food and water to serve the 40 Home Depot volunteers and many First Church volunteers including God’s Old Geezers and others. An amazing amount of work was accomplished in those two days with all that enthusiastic help. The inside of the house was painted, new flooring was laid, a play area was installed in the back yard and fresh flowers planted in flower beds.
