Children’s Sunday School

Classes meet on the second floor each Sunday beginning at 9:30 and ending at 10:40 a.m. for children ages 2 through 6 grade.  Experienced teachers working in tandem provide an enriching experience of Jesus’ love for all people, especially children. The curriculum is United Methodist and designed for children to hear the Bible in ways they can understand.

At First Church there are two goals for Sunday school: one, that each child will experience God’s love and two, they will thereby know they are a child of God. For more information or questions on Children’s Sunday school, call Caroline Noll 972-272-3471 or email at cnoll@fumcgarland.org.

Nursery

Childcare during worship is available on the 2nd Floor.  As you enter the main entrance across from the south parking lot, continue through the double doors to the back of the Garden Room, turn right for the elevators that will take you to the second floor. The nursery sign-in desk is at the end of the hall.

If you arrive through the Ninth Street entrance you can ascend the stairs just past the water fountain to the second floor and the Nursery sign in desk is just inside the landing doors. Nursery Director Lana Halbert supervises the Nursery during worship services.

CHILDREN’S BIBLE RETREAT

September 30 – October 1

Attention all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students!  You are invited to a fantastic Bible Retreat this September 30-October 1 at Bridgeport Camp and Conference Center.

Bible Retreat is a wonderful opportunity to introduce your child to camp if they have never been . . . only one night away from home!  You do not need to be a member of FUMC Garland to attend.

Contact the church office or go to our church website for a flyer and registration form. Return them to Caroline Noll or the church office by Sunday, August 28.
