Children’s Sunday school for All Ages

Classes meet on the second floor each Sunday beginning at 9:30 and ending at 10:40 a.m. for children ages 2 through 6 grade.

Experienced teachers working in tandem provide an enriching experience of Jesus’ love for all people, especially children. The curriculum is United Methodist and designed for children to hear the Bible in ways they can understand.

At First Church there are two goals for Sunday school: one, that each child will experience God’s love and two, they will thereby know they are a child of God.

For more information or questions on Children's Sunday school, call Caroline Noll 972-272-3471 or email at cenoll@yahoo.com

    Sixth Grade Confirmation

The 2009/2010 Confirmation Class for 6th Graders is well underway!  New 6th graders are always welcome to join in the energy on Sunday mornings.  The 2010-2011 Confirmation Class will begin in August.

A variety of interesting field trips are planned including a visit to Temple Emanu-el, a Sunday morning trip to St Luke’s Community church to be part of the African American style of worship, a visit to a Roman Catholic Church and, in the spring, activities that begin the transition into youth fellowship.

Pastors and staff participate by teaching monthly segments of the curriculum entitled “Claim the Name”, developed by the United Methodist Publishing house and written by Dallas minister Reverend Walt Marcum. The high point of the class is reached near the end of the spring semester as students are offered the opportunity to become members of Christ’s Church and United Methodist.

For more information or questions on Confirmation, call Caroline Noll 972-272-3471 or email at  cenoll@yahoo.com
